Apple shifts production away from China and begins assembling the iPhone 14 in Brazil

The majority of Apple’s products, including the iPhone, are still manufactured in China. Nonetheless, lately, the organization has been gradually attempting to differentiate its inventory network with the assistance of different nations. As the company continues to shift production away from China, Apple has begun assembling the iPhone 14 in Brazil.

A Brazilian MacMagazine reader who recently purchased a blue 128GB iPhone 14 in Brazil was surprised to discover on the box that the device was “Assembled in Brazil” by Foxconn Brazil, which is located in So Paulo. The “BR/A” at the end of the device’s Part Number indicates that it was assembled locally.

However, as we were unable to locate any of the 14 Pro models or even the 14 Plus with the “BR/A” identifier, it appears that only the regular iPhone 14 is currently being assembled in Brazil. The Chinese-made iPhone models that are sold in Brazil are identified by the letters “BZ/A” or “BE/A.”
